Responsibilities
- Patient Intake & Preparation: Greet patients warmly, verify personal and medical information, and prepare examination rooms for provider visits.
- Clinical Support: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight) and assist physicians with procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage appointment scheduling, process insurance referrals, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) with precision.
- Phlebotomy & Lab Work: Perform basic lab tests, draw blood samples, and ensure proper specimen handling and labeling.
- Communication: Educate patients on medications, follow-up care, and health maintenance plans while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Ohio State Medical Assistant license.
- Life Support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
