Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify demographic information with accuracy and professionalism.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate) and recording medical history.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, ensuring a smooth clinical workflow.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs as required by the provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, office protocols, and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
