Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians during clinical procedures and maintain sterile examination environments
- Administer medications, injections, and perform ECGs under physician supervision
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medication protocols
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar)
- Arizona state medical assistant license in good standing
- BLS/CPR certification
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
