Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely in and out of bed, wheelchairs, and walkers, utilizing transfer equipment as needed.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans in compliance with facility standards.
- Communication: Communicate changes in patient condition to nurses and physicians promptly and effectively.
- Hygiene & Comfort: Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all assigned patients.
- Emergency Response: Follow emergency protocols and assist in evacuations or medical crises as required.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS):> Must possess a valid BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not always required for enthusiastic candidates.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with patients and families of all backgrounds.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a patient-centered approach.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
