Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and physician orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including checking stock and reordering supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns regarding prescriptions.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
- Comply with all federal and state laws, including HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to become certified (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn pharmacy software.
