Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vital signs monitoring, and medical history documentation.
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile examination environment.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines in strict accordance with protocols.
- Manage patient records electronically using EHR systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and collaborate seamlessly with the nursing staff.
- Handle insurance verification and patient scheduling with high attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient empathy and confidentiality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
