Responsibilities
- Perform clinical tasks including vital sign monitoring, EKGs, and specimen collection
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems remotely
- Coordinate telehealth appointments and virtual patient follow-ups
- Handle billing coding and insurance verification remotely
- Maintain inventory and order medical supplies
- Ensure HIPAA compliance for all digital communications
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in hospital settings
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Experience with telehealth platforms (Zoom Health, Doxy.me)
- Strong remote communication and documentation skills
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
