Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Accurately document patient histories, vital signs, and medical records
- Prepare and administer medications and injections per protocols
- Perform clinical tasks including EKGs, phlebotomy, and lab processing
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and maintain exam rooms
- Coordinate patient education and discharge instructions
- Ensure strict HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or similar preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent required
