Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to ensure patient comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and preventing falls.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to update them on patient status and care plans.
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid and current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients up to 50 lbs.
- CPR certification is a plus.
