Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to promote their mental well-being.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care plans and daily observations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic and patient-centered care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within the scope of your certification.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Colorado (unencumbered).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
