Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic bedside care and support to patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs).
- Feed and assist patients with eating, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
- Turn, reposition, and move patients to prevent bedsores and ensure comfort.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately and promptly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
- Strong compassion and a genuine desire to help patients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
