Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately.
- Assist licensed nurses with medical procedures and treatment plans as directed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in Nebraska).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed (mobility assistance).
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to patient safety and dignity.
- Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory for urgent roles.
