Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care by assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
- Administer medication as directed by licensed nurses and document all care activities accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA or LPN license in the state of Virginia.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling availability.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
