Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with medical procedures, wound care, and patient transfers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Florida CNA License required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands (standing, walking, lifting).
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
