Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assistance with Mobility: Help patients move safely between beds, wheelchairs, and walkers, preventing falls and injuries.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts as required by hospital policy.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Hygiene & Sanitation: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitized at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
- Experience: Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required for top candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
