Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transfers, using proper body mechanics.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the licensed nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and concerns.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA certification (Texas State Board of Nursing) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
