Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including walking and transferring to beds or chairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary restrictions.
- Communicate patient concerns and changes in condition to the nursing team immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document all care activities accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of Virginia.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to excellence.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
