Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional direct patient care including assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report any significant changes in patient condition to the charge nurse immediately.
- Administer medication and treatments according to licensed nurse instructions and established protocols.
- Provide emotional support and communication to patients and their families, ensuring a comfortable and dignified experience.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document patient care activities promptly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of Minnesota.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
