Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Ensure Safety: Implement safety measures to prevent falls, infection, and other accidents in the patient environment.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status changes and needs to the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients transfer in and out of bed, wheelchairs, and walkers using proper body mechanics.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, orderly, and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
- Documentation: Complete shift reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Ohio CNA license.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move patients for extended periods.
