Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed diets and dietary restrictions.
- Administer medications and treatments under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA License in the State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting/transferring patients.
