Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning as needed.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and family members regarding patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and supervised by RNs.
- Document all patient care activities and observations accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA Certification in Virginia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (3rd shift).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients.
- CPR certification is a plus.
