Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient dignity and comfort.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift patients if necessary.
