Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the charge nurse.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring and walking using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Tennessee CNA Certification or LPN/LVN license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or assisted living facility is preferred but not mandatory.
