Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming in a respectful manner.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Support registered nurses and physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Ensure Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients at all times.
- Document Patient Data: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care plans using electronic health systems.
- Communicate Effectively: Relay patient changes, concerns, and needs clearly to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team.
- Emotional Support: Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current, unencumbered Nevada State CNA license.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients (up to 50 lbs), and perform physical tasks as required.
- Attention to Detail: Keen observation skills to ensure patient safety and accurate documentation.
