Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer medication and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient conditions, care plans, and progress updates accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies within established timeframes.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered CNA or RN license in the State of Indiana.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients weighing up to 250 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
