Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance to ensure daily living needs are met.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate accurately.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and charts in compliance with hospital standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or RN (Registered Nurse) license in the State of Texas.
- Completion of an accredited nursing assistant or nursing program.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong compassion, patience, and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality protocols.
