Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both patient and staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all hygiene and infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care continuity.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses, strictly following safety protocols.
- Observe and report any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the charge nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- Current, valid California CNA License (must be listed on the Nurse Aide Registry).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help those in need.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients safely.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
