Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patients' dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and patients' families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection.
Qualifications
- Current, active CNA license in the State of California.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) must be valid.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and assist patients up to 250 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
