Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse units including ICU, ER, and Step-Down units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and implement treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care coordination
- Document patient assessments and progress using Epic EHR systems
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and hospital safety protocols
- Provide mentorship to nursing students and new staff members
- Participate in weekend-specific rapid response and code blue activations
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN degree required (ADN with 2+ years ICU experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience with electronic medical records (EHR)
- Strong assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work independently during weekend rotations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
