Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained.
- Document patient care plans, progress notes, and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate closely with RNs, LPNs, and physicians to communicate patient needs and update care plans effectively.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients during meal times.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if applicable to shift locations).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
