Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration)
- Assist in transporting patients to and from activities and appointments
- Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff
- Observe patients and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Assist with patient feeding and hydration as needed
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA certification in the state of Ohio
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a CNA or in a similar role preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening
