Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and four-handed dentistry
- Take and develop diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of all equipment
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and instruments for efficient workflow
- Provide exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and aftercare
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate with front office staff for seamless patient scheduling
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification and Texas radiology permit
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental imaging software
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions and team collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- Experience with dental anesthesia administration preferred
- Must pass background check and drug screening
