Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging with precision
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments
- Take dental impressions and pour study models accurately
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain electronic health records
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials efficiently for seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or graduate of accredited dental assisting program
- Indiana dental assisting license or eligibility
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography (DEXIS, Sirona preferred)
- Strong knowledge of infection control and OSHA standards
- Exceptional communication skills for patient interactions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
