Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to ALARA protocols
- Manage sterilization processes and OSHA compliance protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflows
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Coordinate inventory management and supply ordering for clinical operations
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Experience with digital charting systems (Dentrix preferred)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage anxious patients
