Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument transfer, suction, and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental X-rays with proficiency in digital radiography
- Perform infection control protocols and sterilize dental instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and materials for dental procedures
- Manage patient scheduling, records, and billing coordination
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Assist with front desk duties including check-in/out and insurance verification
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-recognized)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification and knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Experience with digital radiography and intraoral cameras
- Valid Nevada state radiology license
- Background check and drug screening required
