Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental X-rays with proper radiation safety protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures
- Perform sterilization and infection control procedures following OSHA guidelines
- Manage patient scheduling and front desk operations when needed
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour models for prosthetics
- Maintain patient records using digital dental software (Epic, Dentrix)
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification or X-ray license in Arizona
- Minimum 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and dental terminology
- Strong interpersonal skills for patient communication
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with digital radiography and sterilization equipment
- Valid CPR certification
