Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, utilizing proper body mechanics to ensure safety for both the patient and the caregiver.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and incidents accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of a registered nurse as required by state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or willingness to obtain certification with our sponsorship program).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for on-site duties).
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
