Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examinations by assisting with clothing and positioning.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurses during examinations by handing instruments and providing necessary information.
- Lab Work: Collect and prepare blood, urine, and other specimens for diagnostic testing according to strict protocols.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule patient appointments, send reminder calls, and manage incoming inquiries professionally.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we welcome entry-level candidates with a strong interest in healthcare.
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
