Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and document client health status changes
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain safe living environments
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Provide emotional support and companionship to enhance client wellbeing
- Administer medications under proper supervision and documentation
- Maintain accurate care records and communicate with care coordinators
Qualifications
- Minnesota Home Health Aide certification required
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills
- Clear criminal background check and negative drug test
- Basic knowledge of infection control protocols
- Proficient in using care documentation software
