Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients who need it.
- Administer medications and monitor clients for any changes in health condition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Light housekeeping and laundry assistance as required to maintain a safe environment.
- Document daily care activities and communicate any concerns to the nursing supervisor.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Louisiana.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
