Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications and report any changes in health status to the supervising nurse.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation and recreational activities to alleviate loneliness.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands as needed.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature.
Qualifications
- Current Certification: Must hold a valid California Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- CPR/First Aid: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or a related healthcare field is a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine, caring demeanor and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as needed throughout the shift.
