Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and maintain inventory
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical practice
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athena, or similar)
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Strong interpersonal communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- BLS/CPR certification required
