Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake and accurately record medical histories and vitals.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and EKGs, following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance standards.
- Administer medications and injections under physician supervision.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and manage patient referrals.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
