Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to residents, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics to ensure resident safety.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team regarding resident status and needs.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nurses and document all care accurately.
- Participate in care planning meetings and maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting and moving residents.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
