Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout the shift.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) documenting all patient interactions and interventions.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue alerts and other medical emergencies within the facility.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection prevention and control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Teamwork: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a positive demeanor.
