Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and record accurate data.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for exams, including drawing blood (phlebotomy) and administering injections as directed.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards.
- Document patient medical history and prepare referral letters.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
