Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vital signs.
- Perform basic clinical duties such as phlebotomy and EKGs under supervision.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during procedures.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Instruct patients on post-procedure care and medication adherence.
- Manage the front desk reception duties including scheduling and check-ins.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certificate as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EHR software.
- CPR and BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume hospital environment.
