Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
- Assist with administrative duties including scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
- Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
- Current and valid Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Excellent phlebotomy and venipuncture skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments
- Basic EKG and medication administration knowledge
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights/weekends
