Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and medical histories accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure a clean clinical environment.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and EKGs as directed by providers.
- Manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate patient appointments, handle insurance verification, and facilitate referrals.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) software.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
