Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and phlebotomy as required.
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling, billing, and patient correspondence.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or equivalent required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
